Professional Experience in Detail

1- Fundraising Manager with SEKEM Initiative

- Fundraising manager with SEKEM Initiative, for SEKEM Development Foundation, was founded in 1984 as NGO, and Egyptian Biodynamic Development Association (EBDA), founded in 1996.
- SEKEM Initiative depend on integrating enterprise with social commitment, Gender Sensitive, to preserve natural resources by using biodynamic methods of agriculture, Setting Agriculture Waste management systems . - Strong experience with international donor agencies, in particular EU Programs, e.g. submit project proposals to EU/Life Third Countries 2006, to empower Stockholm Convention through NGOs; AERI Program/ USAID to support poor farmers in preparing medicinal herbal products to be accepted from exporters and met with EU & international standards; WB/ NCCM, National Council of Childhood & Motherhood to enhance environmental working condition in farms with labored children.
- Preparing log frames, action plans of proposed activities.
- Set proposed budget, Monitoring & Evaluation system to be applied on the previously mentioned projects, this year, I awarded the following projects:-

(A) Alleviate poverty and enhancing environmental conditions in Sharkya governorate from EU;

2- DATA Analysis Expert with AGEG, German Association of Development Consultants Coop International Mission for Final Evaluation of EU Program (4/4/2005-15/5/2005)

(A) EURONET/EC has commissioned AGEG, German Association of Development Consultants “Coop.” with the execution of health Reforming Program for final Evaluation of the EC support to HSRP,/ MOH, Egypt.

(B) Team Member to evaluate (final evaluation), the EC participation to HSRP, Health Sector Reform Program, based on TOR to evaluate, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, consistency, and cost-effectiveness.

(C) Researcher, Data Analysis Expert, to be a member of 5 international experts within a consortium to evaluate implementation during 1998-2005, the EC participation and donation, $110000000., the, beneficiaries from this evaluation were, the EC Delegation in Egypt, the 3 other donors (USAID, WB, ADB) and Ministry of Health & Population, Egypt.

(D)    Deal with many stakeholders (DAG, Governmental and Civil Society) related to this program in Egypt.

3- Project Manager with Day Hospital Association for Rehabilitation & Development Save the Children- NGOs Service Center Project (January 2004- February 2005):

(A) Project manager to support Socio – Economic Program addressing Egyptian handicapped needs through a network of 5 NGOs, (SME projects for handicapped, Social & Health Services, setting program for their capacity building). (B) Preparing advocacy workshops, Seminars and round tables, (C) Monitoring execution of the Capacity Building Program, addressing the sub-granted NGOs. (D) Preparing Monitoring Technical Reports, and cooperate with the financial Manager to prepare Financial Reports, and participate for final enaluation of this project

4- PRA Technical Consultant with ACDI/VOCA, MRMP, World Bank Project in Matrouh governorate, in cooperation with MALR, Egypt - Short Term (3/2003-12/2003).

(A) The World Bank awarded and selected ACDI/VOCA, US NGO, as a Consulting Institution for training Matrouh Resource Management project, MRMP staff, on community driven plans, and field researches, in addition to mobilizing local communities depending on Participatory Rapid Appraisal Technique (PRA), to collect, analyze data, set the information into a professional reports with introduction, methodology, analysis, discussion of results and conclusions, lead to preparing 38 Community Strategic Plans and 38 AWPBs for the first year. (B) The resulted community driven plans, and integrating Gender concepts, environmentally friendly plans to implement Economical sub-projects depending on Bedouins resources, Ecotourism concepts, Educational, and Health activities.

5- Training Unit Manager, Eldar Alarabia for industrial & Managerial Consultation, Egypt -       Private Institution (one year)

Eldar Al-Arabia is a Consultancy and Training Private Institution, established at 1994, and focusing on organizing training programs, to raise the institutional capacity building of Egyptian, Arab NGOs, private sectors and donor developmental programs (e.g. Plan International. CARE International, Social Fund for Development. ……Etc). The training programs were focusing on Capacity Building/ Projects’ Life Cycle /ME of developmental projects

6- Program Manager with Miser Association for Development (3 years).

SFD awarded Miser Association for Development a Project addressing poor women "Social & Economic Development for Women sponsoring their Families". So I carried out the responsibilities to supervise this program (15 employees) to help poor women for preparing simple feasibility studies to different SME projects in Shubra El-Khema, Qaliobia governorate, providing them with literacy classes, gender rights, environmental and health awareness seminars.

7) Environmental Liaison Officer, CARE International, Fayoum Office (Three years)

CARE International in cooperation with DANIDA, signed up a cooperative agreement to implement this program in 4 governorates in Egypt, to pursue policy dialogue with Egyptian government and agencies, as well as with non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders in the field of Environment, gender and to enhance the capability of Egyptian Non-Governmental Organizations in these governorates to address environmental problems, in water & sanitation & desertification, lack of Environmental Awareness

8) Medical Research Technologist with “NAMRU-3” (10/10 /89 – 30/9/93)

Work under contract with USAID, Schistosomiasis Project in the Immunology Department of NAMRU-3, Cairo, Egypt to perform medical research activities aiming to produce and develop candidate vaccines against Bilharzias infection and explore modern laboratory tests to identify early infection cases by immunological methods, I was a technician responsible for producing biological materials needed for the research works.
